Via Lions4life.com
Lions coach Volker Finke has published a list of 25 players and five in the waiting list for the African Nations Cup qualifier match against DR Congo and Ivory Coast without Lions captain Samuel Eto’o.
Eto’o who has been announced at Liverpool for a one year contract as has been rumoured for some time, was cited among the players the coach Finke no longer wanted to see in the national team.
Other players left out are Jean II Makoun, Benoit Assou Ekotto and Charles Itandje; players considered to have contributed to the World Cup debacle.
Alexandre Song is still serving his punishment for elbowing Mario Manzukic on the back during the World Cup game against Croatia.
Red Bulls Oyongo Bitolo Ambroiase has been handed his first call to the national team and so is Guihota, Jérôme (FC Valenciennes), Kibong à Mamba, Marc (Konyarspor), N’jie Clinton (Olympic Lyonnais), Etoundi, Franck (FC Zurich) younger brother of Stephane Mbia and Mandjeck Georges (Kayseri Erciyesspor) who was part of the Olympic team in 2008.
Two goalkeepers make their debut for the national team, ABOGO, Pierre Sylvain (Tonnerre de Yaoundé) and ONDOUA, Joseph Fabrice (FC Barcelona).
Finke is gradually handing local players an opportunity to prove their worth thereby giving credibility to the local championship with the call-up of three players.
He is also gradually rejuvenating the team with young players like, Franck Bagnack and Jean Marie Dongou, both of FC Barcelone, Clinton N’jie of Olympic Lyonnais.
The lions would train in Yaoundé September 1-10 at the CAF training centre in Mbankomo ahead of their qualifier match for the 2015 Nations Cup against the Democratic Republic of Congo and four days later against Ivory Coast in Yaoundé.

Brazil VS Panama.

After Costa Rica suffered a 1-3 loss to Japan in their today's friendly match,I can't miss the Brazil Vs Panama match tonight. In the previous Fifa ranking,Germany was 2nd while Brazil was 4th.Cameroon who was 50th was able to play 2-2 with Germany in their Sunday's friendly encounter. If we are to believe the ranking, the Cameroon has grown from grass to grace.Brazil's match this evening will determine if their 5-0 lead over South Africa was "no South Africa's fault" and it will equally have something to do with group opponents namely Cameroon,Croatia and Mexico.

Gordon Igesund's contract will not be renewed when it expires in July.

The South Africa Football Association through the voice of its president Dr.Danny Jordaan have confirm that Bafana Bafana head coach Gordon Igesund's contract will not be renewed when it expires next month.Igesund who was expected to take South Africa to Brazil but failed is out of favour.Gordon Igesund took charge of the South Africa national team after Pitso Mosinane was axed in June 2012.
Nigeria's Stephen Keshi is amongst those artificially shortlisted to replace Igesund in July when his contract as head coach of Bafana Bafana expires.South Africans say they want a local man as coach.

Cameroon VS Germany this evening.

The Cameroon national team will be playing their third international friendly match with the German national team this Sunday evening. The Indomitable Lions Of Cameroon played the Germans three times in total, failing to score a single goal in those previous meetings.Do you expect something different this evening? It is the first time Finke is playing at home against home country. The match will be played in Borussia-Park, Mönchengladbach,Germany at 7:30pm Local Time.Cameroon is not doing very badly as they beat Macedonia 2-0 though their dreams were later shattered when they met Paraguy in the second friendly as the south American team thrashed Cameroon 2-1.

Paraguay 2-1 Cameroon.

After beating Macedonia 2-0 in an early friendly match last Sunday, the Indomitable Lions Of Cameroon had A difficult moment this evening as Paraguay made their first strike just after four minutes of regular play time.
The first half of the match ended 1-0 while the second half witnessed a different phase as the match could have ended 2-2 if Idrissou had converted a last minute penalty to a goal. Why Idrissou?
The match ended in Austria 2-1 in favour of Paraguay and the next friendly encounter against Germany is due for 1 June 2014.
